About the customer – Wallnäs AB

Wallnäs AB is a long-established family business with roots dating back to 1896, located in Småland. The company operates a modern sawmill through its subsidiary Wallnäs Timber AB and specializes in sawn and planed spruce and pine timber, particularly in large and wide dimensions. The products are mainly used in the construction and furniture industries. In addition to its sawmill operations, Wallnäs also manages over 7,500 hectares of productive forest land and is PEFC environmentally certified.

Challenge

With a high production rate and specialized wood products, Wallnäs needed a sustainable and flexible solution to store its products safely, close to production. It was crucial to protect the wood from weather damage while enabling easy access for logistics and further distribution.

As our timber packages are bulky, it is an advantage that the hall has no obstructing pillars, allowing us to store across the entire surface area.
