The PVC hall that can withstand harsher climates

Polarhall is reinforced and dimensioned to withstand snow and wind loads in Sweden's northernmost latitudes. Polarhall's tensioning system for walls and roofs ensures long life and resistance to heavy snow and wind loads. The hall's wall cladding consists of a very strong polyester fabric that is plastic-coated and lacquered to create a smooth surface, which helps the snow slide off the roof. Polarhall is equipped as standard with a robust manual sliding door that works in all weather conditions. Other door types are available on request.

The frame of the Polar Hall is hot-dip galvanized, which makes it resistant to corrosion even in the most aggressive environments. The hall is customized and equipped as needed. See further under Options.

The hall is anchored directly to the ground with ground anchors/anchoring irons or directly to the bedrock with expansion anchors/chemical anchors.

Can Polarhallen withstand the harsh weather conditions of northern Sweden?

The Polar Hall is designed to withstand snow loads of 2.5–4.5, which means that it is reinforced to cope with heavy snow loads. The frame is CE marked in accordance with EN-1090, which means that welding, galvanization, and inspections are carried out by certified workshops. This guarantees high quality.  The tensioning of the fabric with tensioning screws and the lacquered fabric allow snow to easily slide off the hall. There are a number of different options available for the Polar Hall, such as snow guards, lighting, dehumidification, etc., which can be added to the hall.

PMH Polarhallen can also be insulated fairly quickly and easily using the same type of insulation we use at Climathallen. The insulation consists of 100 mm polyethylene that is attached to the frame and along the ceiling and walls, creating a warm and comfortable hall. The insulation material is attached to the same type of PVC fabric as the outside of the hall. The hall has a white fabric surface on the inside of both the walls and ceiling, even if you have chosen a dark color for the exterior walls.

Snow guard

When the door is installed on the long side, snow and water will enter the door opening. To avoid this, a snow guard can be installed above gates and entrance doors. The snow guard is available in two sizes and consists of a sturdy construction covered with sheet metal. A seal is also placed between the hall and the snow guard to ensure a tight fit. Canvas quality / Colors

The fabric used for our halls is very strong with high tear and tensile strength. The fabric is lacquered to create a smooth surface, which helps the snow slide off the roof. As standard, the hall is fitted with a white roof, which gives the hall a bright and pleasant interior. The PMH hall is available in a number of standard colors, allowing it to blend into the existing environment. See color chart.

Snow load

Polarhallen is designed in accordance with Boverket standards, based on the snow load applicable to each municipality. The current snow load for Polarhallen is 2.5-4.5, which is the highest snow zone in Sweden, meaning that the hall is specially designed to be erected in the northern part of our country.
